Can this wonderful form of self-expression withstand such overwhelming insert and demand? We think so!
Pleasurable Piercings was started in 1990, by the flamboyant and charismatic Bill Krebs and his mom, Judy Krebs. At that time, the demand for piercing was primarily from bikers, punks, skaters and the underground gay S&M scene. Bill was one of a handful of piercers in New York City, working out of a photo studio in the Chelsea section of Manhattan, honing his skills and developing quite a reputation. In the fall of 1993, Bill, Judy and a staff of three part timers with a vision opened a 1000 square foot space in suburban Hawthorne, NJ, housing our body piercing studio, shipping department and corporate offices. We soon outgrew this and in June of 1995 expanded into a 5,000 square foot space featuring a showroom, two huge piercing rooms, sterilization room, shipping department and administrative offices to house our staff. We added a new manufacturing facility to produce our own fine jewelry and have since gone on to become one of the most recognized names in the body piercing industry.
Our jewelry, accessories and supplies can be found the world over, in such far away places as Israel, Japan, Germany and Argentina. There is even a Pleasurable Piercings studio in Basel, Switzerland, run by Dani Trachsel.
